olympic np

in january, I had knee surgery and so for the month and a half after, I had to keep to low-key activities for full recovery. it was boring as hell and I was getting ansty for new explorations but alas, my knee recovered.

we started off in central washington trying to get to this ice cave but when we got there, it had been avalanched in. there were actually two baby avalanches while we were there so we had to turn around. we wanted to visit all three national parks but ended up liking olympic national park so much that we stayed there our whole trip. it’s hard to describe the happiness and peace that I felt but I did. I felt strong waves of them. I lived in washington for a year a few years ago and I didn’t feel those feelings at all and so now it’s nice to come back and reassociate washington with better memories.

a few of my favorite photos…
